Can anyone reccomend good campgrounds in the Yukon?
Going from Whitehorse, up to Alaska, down to Dawson City and back to Whitehorse

1. A little further south is Liard Hot springs which is incredibly beautiful, I have only been up there in the winter though. And definately check out Klaune ( can't remember how to spell it ) park in Alaska
2. Personally, don't really know, but the links I've provided should help you out alot. Enjoy!

4. try www.woodalls.com. I have had a lot of luck researching different campgrounds on that site.
5. Any of the government run campgrounds along the Alaska Highway suitable. Between Watson Lake and Whitehorse there’s not a whole lot, it’s only four and a half hours, so you might as well just go to Whitehorse. There you can stay a 15 minute walk from downtown in Robert Service Campground on the shores of the Yukon River in a wilderness setting, and see the sites, or head out of Town North west along the Alaska Hwy to Kusuwa Lake (24Km off hwy) but beautiful. Or go straight through to Haines Junction. I would check this government site out and download the map http://www.environmentyukon.gov.yk.ca/parks/campgrounds.html
It shows all the government campgrounds in the Yukon. Unfortunately there are not a lot of campgrounds along the Alaska hwy, and most good ones that us locals keep to our selves are off the main highways. When you come back down through Dawson and back towards Whitehorse, go through the Tatchun creek (B7) land Frenchman’s lake (D7) route. It is fairly short, but out of the way, quiet and pristine.
